Manuscript contains text "Tractatus in Evangelium Ioannis" by St. Augustine and folio 257v contains "Sermon 7 in natale sanctae Mariae" by unknown author (Pseudo-Ildefonsus of Toledo or Pseudo-Maximis Taurinensis). Created 2nd or 3rd quarter of the 11th century in Italy.
Decoration: Large decorated initials in brown ink, some with a yellow wash and/or with orange or reddish-brown, mainly of interlace or geometric patterns; some with animal heads (ff. 88v, 223v). Most initials from f. 203 have thinner and finer outlines with foliage on a reddish-brown ground, and were probably executed by a different artist. Small simple red or brown initials.
